User Testing: Earn Money by doing Software testing

It’s been almost 3 months since the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine. We were obliged to stay-at-home to prevent the spread of the virus. But come to think of it, not all people can just stay at home as they need to earn money to sustain themselves. The support given by the government is not enough some being a person that needs to strive to survive. I looked for ways to earn money online. Here is what I found, User testing!

Proof of Payment of UserTesting

Usertesting is a company that evaluates a product for user research and product/software testing. Basically, you’ll be the first customer to try the product of the clients and you’ll tell your honest thought about it. It may be positive or negative, it will help the client to improve their products. Now, by doing so, you will be paid $10 fixed for your cooperation. You will have to take an interview or screener first, and when you passed it, that’s the only time you be accepted.

To be honest, you’ll have a hard time passing the interview if you don’t know what you are doing. That is why, I’ll provide you with some tips and personal experiences aiming to ace your interview.

1   1. Register. You have to sign-up first on their site. Remember to put your correct email because it needs to be verified.

     2. Download User testing App. This app is not on the phone, but when you sign up, they will require you to download their app on your computer. In that way, you can have your screener there. Before taking the screener, you will watch a video about the User testing, how it works, and the purpose of their company that would last for 2 – 3 minutes.

3.   Screener. In this part, they will be giving you scenarios and you have to imagine that you are the person that is talking about. You’ll understand when you’re on the situation. You should say your thoughts, whatever that is. That is what the clients need. You have to prove that you know what you are doing. If you don’t like the product, say it. If you think they should change the color, say it. I promise you, it will really help you a lot.

Now, when you’re done with the interview. You’ll be on the waitlist and you have to wait for their email if you are accepted or not.

When you are accepted, you’ll be now available to complete your profile. In completing your profile, they will be giving you courses that talk about their company. It’s like they are teaching you what to do in certain situations and when you’re done with it. You can start accepting test.

In my personal experience, I’ve been accepted after 2 – 3 days after registration. (Although it's not the case to all since sometimes it would take even quicker or longer than I did) I received the email and it says I can start building my profile.

The real task is waiting for the right tests that will match you. You have to keep your dashboard always open. Like always. They are not the type of company that will send you emails if you have tests. Their tests come and go in a flash. If you didn’t take the screener too quickly, there is a chance that you lose the opportunity. Screeners are important because it will determine if you are matched to the test. According to my sources, only 5% are admitted to the test after you take the screening. But don’t lose hope, they have plenty of screeners in a day and if your lucky, you won't have to take a screener for a certain test. You just have to wait.

It took me 5 days before I got my first paid test. The days prior, I was almost close to giving up but luckily the night of the 5th day, I had my first test. I did it on my phone. User testing has apps on IOS and Android but you still have to see your task on your dashboard. You will see there if you what are the available platforms you can access the task.

My only advice to you is to be patient. Other people are also struggling to get their hands on tests but you just have to be honest on your screeners for you to enter the test!

Happy testing!

Moisturizers: Game changers for Oily and Acne-prone skin

Should I still use moisturizer even though I have oily and acne-prone skin? "Yes, you still have to use it. " But why should I still use it? Wouldn't it make me more oily? "No."   There is a difference between oily and hydrated skin.  If a person has oily skin, it means there is too much production of oil glands and also an indicator of dehydrated skin. Your skin lacks water. For instance, you're thirsty, what you will do is you'll drink water for you not to be thirsty. After that, you're not thirsty anymore. Then you'll want less to no more water.  The only difference is that our skin secretes oil to compensate for the lack of moisture on our skin. That is why we get even more oily.  We know that oily skin has higher chances of having pimple breakout because dead skin cells mix up with oil that leads to the clogging of pores.  It is essential to use moisturizer as it hydrates the skin. When our skin is hydrated, less oil is being secreted ...

iPhone 7 Plus: Still worth it in 2020?

Are you thinking of buying a new phone? Let’s see, you’re not a fan of android, are you? If not, then you’ve come to the right article. Here are the reasons why you should still buy iPhone 7+ in 2020.      I know it’s really hard to pick the right phone for you as the market releases hundreds of phone models every year. It is overwhelming, I know because I’ve been to that position. If I could just grab anything that I think suits me, then everything would be fine. But the thing is, I’m really picky when it comes to phones. I’ve been a fan of the iPhone since 2010, the year that they released their first model.        I’ve tried a lot of Android phones already but the more I use it, the more I want an iPhone. It just that, in all aspects, iPhone wins in everything. I’m not saying Android is not a good product but I believe choosing the right phone is a matter of preference.      5 months ago, I bought myself an iPhone. It is the iPhon...
