Want to know what you should watch next?
Since Boy’s Love (BL) is starting to shine, these are the must-watch BL dramas that you should start binge-watching right now.
These are my qualifications to consider a BL drama a good one.
1. Excellency in acting – of course, it’s a drama so the actors should be really good at acting. Their acting should feel natural as if they’re just being themselves.
2. Have a good storyline – although I’m not really strict with this one because there are actors that are “nakakakilig” to the point they boost the whole storyline.
3. Actors should have chemistry – I’m really picky about this. This is about boy’s love, I should see that there are sparks between the two main leads. How can I feel anything if they don’t match together, right?
4. Actors have visual appeal – I deem this one to be a bonus but it is also a qualification that is a big factor when I’m looking for a BL Drama. I’m not saying that BL is only confined to people who have good looks, but I must say that it's just a factor and matter of preference.

Thai Drama 2020
This is the BL Drama that I really patiently waited
for every week. I’m not really fond of watching ongoing dramas because I don’t
like the feel of being left hanging. But this one is different from the rest. I
watched this when it only has 4 episodes but I waited for each episode every
Friday until the end. What I like about this series is the chemistry of two
male leads, their excellency in acting, given that one of them, is just a
newbie. I would also like to applaud the visuals of the main characters. To be
honest, It was only recommended to me but I didn’t know that I would like it so
much.
Some of you might ask if it’s really good, why
isn’t this my top 1? I didn’t like the episodes at the end. It felt like it was
rushed and forced to fit in 13 episodes. There are many scenes in the book,
that according to others, were not shown in the series. They should’ve added
more episodes, not end it like “that”. But I still recommend this series.

Chinese Drama 2016
This was my top 1 but it was recently replaced. But it still
deserves the number 1 spot. Why? In this series, you feel how genuine the
feelings are. I can say that this series has excellent actors, best
storyline, visually appealing actors, and a different type of chemistry between
the two male leads. Because of how attached I was to this series, I finished it
in one sitting. It wasn’t so much though since it only has 15 episodes with 23
minutes of running time.
I was unhappy when I found out that China banned the series.
Think about it, why would China have it banned if it is not a good series? It
became really famous that China had to do it. Also, one of the reasons why is
that China doesn’t allow BL dramas or anything homosexual. They had to do it so
that it won’t tarnish the name of the country. Either way, I still get sad that
they won’t be seeing each other for 8 years because that was what the law said.
I just wish that release the three last episodes because I’m still hoping.
There was a statement circulating online that there will be
a sequel to Addicted (Heroin). This year is supposed to be the filming but the
filming will be held in Taiwan. Same director, same production team, but too
bad, different male leads. Sad, isn’t it?

Taiwanese Drama 2018
If you’re a fan of volleyball, you should definitely watch
this series. This is that one that replaced Addicted (Heroine) in the number 1
spot. I don’t know if its because I just recently watched it that it dominated
my feelings for Addicted. In this BL Drama, just like the Addicted, it met my
qualifications and even exceeded my expectations. I really like Zach Lu because
of his look and his glasses. Maybe I’m just hooked into guys with glasses. They
look sophisticated and have strong appeal. If you want a light storyline, you should
definitely check this one out. Out of all the HIStory franchise, this is what I
like the most.
I couldn’t even say anything negative about it. It is just
a masterpiece. According to my sources, this supposed to have a sequel movie
but apparently, the movie was canceled. I also don’t know why. I just hope
they change their minds.
Even if your favorite BL Drama isn’t included in here, it
doesn’t mean that it wasn’t good. It just a matter of preference. I know there
are many BL dramas out there that are exceptionally good, waiting to be
discovered.
